This is a reserved listing for a custom etch porcelain Twist Pipe.
A porcelain pipe modeled to appear as stylized smoke. The bowl is finished with a clear glaze. It is fully functional but can also be used decoratively as well. It is great addition for collectors or for a unique gift! Each pipe is hand-cast, so there is a little variation between each item.
Why porcelain?
Porcelain pipes can be crafted into almost any shape imaginable! The porcelain used is fired to a high temperature (about 2232 F/1222 C!) where it vitrifies, making it as safe as a glass pipe to use and can be cared for similarly. Though these pieces do not come fully glazed, the surface is finely sanded, making the texture similar to that of a smooth stone. All of the glazes used on my pieces are food safe as well.
