This is a wheel-thrown, handmade tea cup measuring a little over 4 inches tall and 3.5 inches in diameter. The outside is a combination of a matte green glaze and a glossy celadon glaze. The lip is accented with a glossy white glaze.
There's white specks added all around the cup for a festive feeling. A trail of blossoms is slip trailed on the outside of this cup, which is a technique that gives the motif a raised appearance above the clay body. Each flower is carefully filled with a glossy pink glaze.
All glazes used for this cup are food safe. The clay body is a cone 6 white stoneware that is fired to maturity, which can survive the microwave and the dishwasher, though I recommend hand washing and to avoid the microwave if possible. ^^
The glazes are permanent and will not wash off or fade with use.
